I am going to host a Thanksgiving Ball sometime around the holiday. Thanksgiving is on November 27th, a Thursday, this year. The party will begin at approx. 10:00 PM EST, but I haven't yet figured out what day it is going to be. I am creating a poll here with the days I will be available, so vote! Please note I will be unavailable that Friday night.

Anyway, as always, you have to come costumed. You can either come as an Indian or a Pilgrim. Whichever you choose determines what kind of food that you "bring" to the party. Also, you should come with a guest. For fun, s/he should come opposite you. If you are an Indian, s/he should be a Pilgrim, though that's just a suggestion.

For those of you who have never been to one... to get "costumed" you set the picture as your avatar that night or the day before. To "bring" food or drink, you give me the picture or URL in an email along with your Multiply ID. If you do not already know my email, please ask me or one of my friends for it as I am not forward about posting it in a public blog.

You can invite anyone. If you were invited by one of my immediate friends, you can still invite people. If you were invited by someone who was invited by one of my immediate friends, you can invite people. All you need to do is RSVP in this blog so I can send you an "invite" card a few days before the party as a reminder. More information is forthcoming!

I think it's time for another party.

I know it's summer and a lot of you guys are busy, but if you've got time, this is promising to be one of the best parties yet. I've scheduled it for SATURDAY June 28th at 9:30 PM extending into the wee hours. That's 9:30 NYC, 8:30 Chicago, 7:30 Phoenix, and 6:30 LA. Drop in any time from the start until about 2ish and we'll probably be here... at least I'll be!

The theme for this party is "Summer Pool Party," so that means you have to wear some type of swimwear. Make sure anyone you invite is aware of this... I'd hate for them to show up overdressed! (For you party newbies, to "change" into your swimwear, just come with your new icon as your headshot. Posting a note about this party on your page might dispell questions.)

Secondly, if any of you would like to bring something to eat or drink, send either the pic or the URL via PM or email to me. You can do this by getting the link or the HTML for the image. I'm still looking for the chocolate fountain that was stolen by some rascals from the storehouse!

Mark your calenders. Tell your friends! Everyone is invited, so post a link about this. You can include the URL to this post in the link and the invite as HTML. There's no need to register to come, but if you send me an email or PM (or even an explicity stated comment) saying you are coming, I will keep you posted with updates.

Yes, well, as I've said before, traditionally, men don't go to baby showers, let alone host them... but this isn't an ordinary baby shower! This is the best of all baby showers combined!

I had first met my friend Jamie at the Historical Characters Ball. On 360, she was known as Aurora. She came as Marilyn Monroe, much to my delight! Oh, the antics of that ball...

As it happens, Jamie apparently has never had a baby shower, despite having kids prior this daughter. Kat and Momma Dish asked me, such as a Baron, to host one for our mutual friend. Despite having to cancel on some very famous people just to have the night to spend online (who am I kidding, I'm sick!), I readily agreed.

Kat and I discussed the possibility of a invitation. I thought it was a great idea, and Kat suggested I do it since she doesn't have Photoshop. After repeated reminders as the date drew nearer, I did some internet surfing for some basic materials and designed one myself. This is how it came out...

I was very pleased with how it turned out, as in the past, I haven't had the best experiences with Photoshop. Yesterday I plastered it on all of Jamie's friends pages (sorry) and I sent out PMs regarding this event and the Christmas Ball, so I'm glad to see you got the word!

Welcome to the shower. You'll find a nice place here to drop off your gifts for the mother-to-be. To drop off your foodstuffs and sample those brought by others, I suggest you come by this blog here. Of course, you can "Ooh" and "Ahh" over what everyone got Jamie, and then you can eat to your heart's content, but remember to come back here for the party!

(I figured that the notorious chocolate fountian might not be all that appropriate here... but it can be brought out if it comes to that!)

Before anyone asks... no, I don't need a webcam, and no, I don't have a webcam so I can't endorse anyone.

Since I'm making plugs... if any of you have not yet joined Y!360 Refugees, my Multiply group here, you might find it very helpful. It has a bunch of experienced users (over 1900 at last count) and you can find updates about the goings on at Multiply (updates, new features, etc) there. HERE is the site. Check it out. Besides, I'm the mod! ;D

And also, regarding the PM I sent (I hope everyone got it), you can invite your friends to the party as well. Here's an excerpt from the PM:
